Fishing in Wyoming County

My son is considering taking a job in Arcade.  When I go there to spend sometime with him I would like to take my fly rod.  Is there any trout fishing near Arcade?  I prefer stream fishing.

Thanks in advance.

Your in luck, nymphus!!  The wiscoy, and tonowanda would be good choices.  Lots of stocked and hold overs.  Also, your within minutes of the cattaragus.  Head to springville, Scoby dam.  Closest choice to arcade= wiscoy, big fish = catt.

    Thanks clamshell,

More questions.  Are these streams wadeable or do most anglers fish them from the banks?  Is the Wiscoy wadeable?  I haven't been able to find many picture of the area streams.  But from what I have found on the internet, I am getting anxious to fish some of them.  Looks like a good place for my son to reside.

nymphus:  The Wiscoy is wadeable, lots of brush depending where.  Tends to have spots where deep muck accumulates.
