Season done for me (buck, anyhow)

After passing on a decent 8 pt several days ago, I decided to take this one this morning.  My 1/2 day vacation turned into a full day.

Kids got a kick out of it and so did the work crew installing new drainage on our road.

Main frame 4x5 with a broken brow tine on the left and a split brow tine on the right.

Took him at 7:40am at 5 yds.

Not my biggest but respectable.

Thanks guys.  My boy Tyler loved it.  Sure wish my daughter Paige would have joined in on the pics.  Maybe next year.

Sure wished he hadn't broken off that other brow and had his left G4.   Saw his twin about 1/8 mi. down the road from my spot driving in on Sat. AM.  Was just heading in to do some filming and a perfect 10 pt. w/o split brows was poking his head over the guardrail in the pre-dawn darkness.  He was a spitting image of this one in tine length, spread and mass.  Mouth grunted at him at 15 feet and he gave me a pffft...and ran down over the hill.

Only saw 12 doe sat. AM but did see 2 decent bucks (1 a decent but non shooter 2.5 yr 8 pt and the other unknown but had a decent spread) on Fri. evening plus lots more doe.  The bucks were on a mission.

I really can't age deer till there dead,I can make a guess, but not really know,so I guess your saying that your buck is a 3.5 year old deer? I kind of dout it but ,but the lower jaw bones teeth will tell the truth, that's the only way to get the real deal.
