float trip on 20 mile?

Im old but I  think I remember reading an article about a stretch of 20 mile in PA that has very limited stream access, unless you float it in a kayak or canoe. Any ideas as to where this stretch of stream is?

Where do I sign up?  Is there enough water for my Bertram?  How many fish will I catch?  Will they put in a drawbridge on rt 5 so my boat will clear?  Can I anchor and fish where I want?  What type of bait should I bring?

Thank you for your prompt response!   Where can I buy nightcrawlers in North East?  Will we be parking/launching in NY or PA?  Can I use more than 3 rods, if one of them is a fly rod?  If we start in NY and stay in the same water the whole way down, does a NY license still work? Is there any place I can camp along 20 mile?

if this trip is taken you should also float 16mile. could put in in town and float to rt5. not really sure how many fish there will be but id like to see people going over the falls above rt5.. o yeah poor richards is shut down over on
the eastside. no bait stores for atleast 20 miles soo it not even woth fishing. i alsomt f4got why would u stop aT rt90 drift to the lake i know its post above rt5 but if you are in a boat ud be ok the own the land not the water. all in all sounds like taking a float trip on raccoon creek in a few weeks. cant wait

When I was a kid, we used to float Walnut Creek when it was flooded. We'd put in up by the mall, and would get to the Erie golf course in like 15 minutes. No time to fish tho. With the current haulin azz, all you could do is hang onto your cheap K&B toyz blow up raft and pray that sucker dont hit a rock and POP!

Did the same from Old Sterretania.  In the winter we would ride chunks of ice.

This reminds me of an old thread about someone who thought about floating the Erie tribs (in PA) during steel season. Thread got a bit heated as I recall!
