Edward-John trip #2 ===

Fished Monday morning on the Edward-John with two buddies again and we all did better than my trip on July 12th, with some jumbos and doubles. We landed 29 Perch.

    Here's what I posted as a fishing report =

    ""Beautiful Morning with 35 anglers on board. Fishing was good in the morning and slowly dwindled thru the rest of the morning as the temperatures rose. It may not be an exact count but probably aropund 400 perch landed.

    I saw a Sheephead and a White Bass also caught. One lad had two jumbos in "his bucket" and was amazingly proud of them as we heard about them all morning ... great trip..

    Thanks to Captain John, Shawn, and Ray for another great trip for me...

    And a couple pics ==

    My bucket at 8:05am :

    Just a nice boat on the way back in :

    I'll be returning later this week for another try at a limit Erie Perch !!!

    Boat looks pretty full. Did they have to turn anybody away? Last time i took a group of four, they said they had a full boat already and we were there around 6:30. Long way to travel just to go to perkins for breakfast.

    Call and get reservations FIRST !!!!!

    We could have had 5 people more on Monday to make 40, but one guy I go with has a season pass and there are days that even he can not get on the boat if he calls and is told they are full...

    after returning I heard the captain telling a couple guys who were already waiting (without reservations)the afternoon trip was already full...

    I heard the Captain say they are full for Friday and Saturday of this week for example and it was only Monday morning...

    I would not travel up with out reservations !!!!!!!!!

    Folks that have reservations are seated first and if you just show up (no reservations) you will have to wait and see (if the boat is full) IF an opening comes about because someone does not show up who did have reservations.......

    and unfortunately --- there is always the chance of traveling up and the weather turn bad... which has happened to my friend also this season.......

    BUT on the bright side --- there's a Gander Mountain close by !!!

    This was my second trip and both trips were booked full in advance .. Monday,5 guys did not show up or we would have been FULL again.

    Kinda tough getting a seat when you have season pass holders on the boat 4 nights a week....

    Season pass holders can not just show up and get a seat... they need reservations too...

    I can't say for sure, BUT I have not seen anyone use one or any device to scan one...

    here's the link to the boat's web site...
    http://www.edwardjohnperchfishing.com/

    We drove up yesterday and the further we went out on the Lake at 7am the rougher the waves and wind got so Captain John called off the trip and refunded our money.... we were on the front of the boat and I must I say sort of enjoyed the rough ride .. like at a water fun park or something ... you really had to hold onto the rail...we were even getting wet from the splashing!!!!

    I did feel sorry for a guy from St. Mary's, he told us this was his 4th trip this year with reservations that did not go out because of weather.. I felt like asking him to let me know the next time he was going

    I'm returning later this month for an evening trip...

    I saw John give someone back their debit or credit card once so I believe you can use one. Best to call them to make sure though.

    PLEASE!!
    I THINK IT'S TIME FOR SOMEBODY TO FIRE UP A 'HEAD/ PARTY BOAT' AT CONNY?????????????????
    The Conny Fish'n Has Been On Fire, and there are too many Ohio'ns without an Erie Boat who want to go perch'n, and WILL NOT BUY A Pa. License and can't afford a CHARTER!
    Good times are back,,, Seems like a $$$ Money Maker To Me?
