Dominic as always your work is way nice. I have to agree with Kev though. For casting 2 handed rods you want a narrow front grip for proper hand postioning. It is easier to get that "key grip" that helps with making crisp casts. With a wider grip the user feels more comfortable with the top hand and may start issuing excessive power with the top hand. A big no no. I would suggest narrowing up the very top of that front grip. But that is what custom rods are about. Doing whatever feels right to the user. Meis did mine for me and we talked in great detail about that issue. I wanted it wider for more comfort so he gave me an extra 1/16 and wouldnt go anymore. After fishing the rod for a season I wish I would have never asked for that wee bit more. Maybe one day I'll send it back to him for a sandjob but, for now it will be fine. The bottom grip looks like it would be just fine but I like what Bob does with his. Very narrow to wrap my 2 fingers around and the "ball" in the midle of my palm. If you ever want to check it out give me a call. I am pretty sure I know who the rod is for and an indicator will but hanging from it anyways so it doesnt really matter. Your work is excellent and I am a big fan. I cant wait to see your thread work and super clean finish.
