Mercruiser Mechanic

I know that we've talked about this before, and I have decided to do all of my own work, but my uncle is in need of a GOOD Mercruiser mechanic. He is in the Barkeyville area. Any suggestions? Willing to drive for a good mechanic. There was a guy in that area that did some work for him and it has caused various other agravating problems. I'm not real familiar with Mercruiser and don't have the time to do it right now.

Give Wiegal Brothers Marine in Franklin a call 814-437-2077. I dont know if they do inboard Mercruisers but I'm sure they will point you in the right direction. Good people,I have used them on my jet. What type of repair is needed?

Nothing that major, has a soft plug leaking on an exhaust manifold and needs it checked over real good.

I second OA's recommendation.  I haven't used them personally but, my cousin lives in Warren and he drives his boat there to be looked at (50 horse Evinrude OB).

I won't bad mouth them, but I had a bad experience with my IO there, more of an individual mechanic issue than with the place in general I think. I heard reasons for my experience later on, not sure if he's still there or not...
