Catfish hitting now

Has anyone been getting any catfish to bite lately? I think I am going to head out for some channels this weekend and would like to know if I am wasting my time.

The water coming out of the conemaugh dam seems REALLY cold yet.

    Allegheny River is reportedly about 60 degrees near Kittanning so they should be moving some, they are definitely hitting in south east Ohio, so that should be similar water temps to us...
    I would give it a shot if I had a day this week...

    Was out on the Beaver last evening/night. The monster Flatheads were on fire!!!!! Cut bait was the ticket.The biggest being 19.5 pounds and most the rest went 10-12# and of coarse there were a couple small ones.It was one after the other till the bait ran out. Weather was a bit nasty at times but do-able

    I fished the allegheny river below lock 3 the other night. I got 2 flatheads 1 about 15# and the other about 10#, both on bluegills.

    I threw some dough bait out for channels on monday night and didnt get a single hit.

    A buddy and I went on the beaver Monday morning till like PM fished for some striper's and landed 2 about 4-5# ers. Then caught some bait and tried for some cats. Well only landed 1 flathead that went 11.5# had a bunch of runs they would not commit enough for a good hook set. Was fun and very WET Dave
