hey bings, good idea

Might be the makings for a good Photo contest...
See who can post the most pics of different kinds of fish caught on a fly... Bass, Pike, chubs, suckers, sunfish, all the different trout, ect.....  ~bings

bings sounds like a great idea. here's what i got so far on my fly rods with my own ties. pics to follow when i get time.
got to be in PA water

1. steelhead= depth ray stonefly
2. pike= bead chain-eye black leech streamer
3. blue gill= frog popper
4. largemouth bass= frog popper
5. brown trout= drk elk hair grannom dry
6. rainbow= drk. king river caddis dry
7. creek chup= #16 grannom dry
8.  brook trout= bwo parachute

i'll throw in a box full of hand tied flies to the winner.

    RULES for fly fishing fish contest 2010;

    1. all fish must be caught on a fly rod
    2. must be caught with flies (no bait or lures)
    3. must be caught in PA. waters
    4. photo NOT necessary but would be nice
    5. no sub-species except for trout, crappies and bass
    TROUT species
    a) rainbow trout
    b) brook trout
    c) brown trout
    d) palomino trout
    e) tiger trout

    CRAPPIE species
    a) white crappie
    b) black crappie

    BASS species
    a) largemouth
    b) smallmouth
    c) rock bass

    6. Gobies don't count

    perch-san juan,caddis
    steely-crystal meth
    bows-stone,caddis,march brown
    brown-dark caddis
    chub-egg

    Hey DT are steelhead considered rainbows or should they be their own seperate category. I think you should need a picture and a paper with the year and a fishusa logo to make it official .

    not everyone has a camera. steelhead and rainbows are seperate.
