Just dunkin worms

Went to the river to get away from all but the sounds of the river.
It brought me back to when my Grandfather took me for suckers years ago.
I peered into the deep hole and was amazed at how many suckers were there.
I put a worm on my hook and tossed the offering out.
It didn,t take long till I saw the tap tap at the end of my pole.
I waited for another tap and set the hook.
A great fight on my light action rod pursued.
Lifted the silver and golden colored sucker out and gazed at it for a minute and released it.
Rebaited and tossed another worm out.
As I waited I looked around and saw a large nest in a tree around the bend.
Wow, an eagles nest! I spend some time watching the eagle preaning the nest.
Then tap tap another sucker. The fight was grand.
I kept seeing these minnows blowing out of the water so I put on a small tube jig and the first cast,
pow, a smally smashes it. Another great fight.
A grand day. 3 smallies, 3 suckers, 3 perch, ducks,geese, and a magnificant eagle.
Happy Easter to all!

That it was. May take another walk today.
This time taking the camera instead of the phone.
Hope to get a closer view of the eagles. Tough spot to get to though.
    May be a telephoto shot.lol

looks like another banner day !!!   your eagle sighting reminds of the first time I saw an eagle while fishing.......

I was on the North Branch of Potomac river  --  above jennings randolph lake  --  mid river on a rock island

I made a cast and looked downstream.......all I saw was this huge bird.........it was the coolest thing ever.....I ran on the island trying to keep up with the bird to see where it was going......I probably looked like a dork and half........it was funny........it was flying midstream.......noticed me......and immediately hung a left, went over the trees and followed the creek....it was like he had air brakes.........almost cartoonish..........
