Boat storage for summer

hi guys,

i am in college and would really love to bring my boat up for the summer, for obvious reasons, but need a secure place to store it. it is a 18 ft bass boat.  i was thinking of a self-storage place, but they are pretty pricey but that may be the way to go for security reasons.  does anybody have any recommendations on a secure place to keep it?  closer to water the better, but that doesnt really matter. i would also need electric to charge it once in a while.

thanks,
zack

There's a guy just outside on Conneaut, $30/ month. Don't know about the power, but it is gated. Buddy of mine uses him, can find out the deal if that interests you.

    Boat Storage
Our boat storage offers convenient drop-off and pick-up of your boat. Our location is only a minute or two from Walnut Creek launch, so you can pick it up on the way with no time lost. The summer storage is especially popular with our out of town customers who regularly fish on Lake Erie. Instead of having to trailer their boat from home, it's here waiting for them. Between the cost of gas and wear and tear, most customers claim our rates save them money! ** We tend to fill up by July and can't guarantee availability for July and August, please call for availability.

    Rates

    Summer - May 1st through October $2.00 per foot / month (20' Boat = $40.00/month)
Winter - Nov. 1st through April $75.00 for the whole season Boat Trailer Storage - $50/season

I kept mine a Poor Richards last summer for a couple of months and had no problems. Of course I unloaded the boat after every trip which was a bit of a pain. I've never heard of any security issues there.

Just outside Conny for $30 a month, hmmmmmm...

I live up in Lake City, PA and have mine in gated storage unit in Lake City.  It goes by $1 per square feet.  I have a 14.5 foot boat that is about $28 dollars a month!!  But there is no power outlet near by.  Lake City is 2 minutes from Elk and about 10-15 at the most to Walnut!!
