This year's Hare hunt.

Spent the week between christmas & new years hunting Snowshoes again this year in McKean Co. This pic was taken after our first 4 hours of hunting on the first day. The rest of the week was not quite this good, but not bad... The camera man was responsible for one of them as well, for those of you concerned with limits.

That was the best day we have ever had, usually 1 is average 2 is pretty good day. Helps when you have good dogs.. Buddy brought his up, one male won the grand national champ early last fall and the other won the little world hunt about a month later. Good hounds.

    Looks like a blast.

Our dogs are out of a hare running line up in canada....but I've never seen them run one. MAN! They're fast though.
    Would be fun I bet.

I used to hunt them near Rimrock. You can always find a few in that area. Hunting them on bare ground can be interesting but a bit one sided.

We shot every one we jumped that day, but the rest of the week we would usually run 2 or 3 a day. Sometimes get 1 maybe 2 if we were lucky.

yes it is, we really try to not take too many out of one spot, as populations are not enourmous...
