Garelick heavy duty 4 Stroke Bracket

Here is a heavy duty outboard bracket for mounting on the transom of your boat. This is a top of the line bracket. This was brand new last year. It has 15" of travel. Asking $250.

Is this bracket still available? I would plan to use it in conjunction with my I/O motor that would be connected with an EZ steer rod. Therefore, how much side-to-side movement does this bracket have? I've read that bracket sloppyness makes steering almost impossible.

Chance, I have a similar set up on my IO and there are no steering issues. I do think it will turn tighter one way but nothing major. This bracket along with the tie-bar and a trollmaster throttle control is the cats backside.

I can tell you that I was on Slick's boat and the setup he had worked fine. BTW, he had an I/O with the same setup you're talking about.

I have the same bracket in the shorter throw with an EZ Steer. I don't know what exactly you're talking about with "slop". I've never had any problem with the 3 different brackets I've had.

As trap-jaw said...I had it mounted with an I/O using the EZ Steer...I am not sure what you are talking about when you say "slop" I had a full range of turning with the EZ Steer and the Bracket...

I have a EZ steel bracket for sale to go with that mount.-(chech my post)  I ran the same system on my past rig and it work perfect.  The bracket is heavy duty & the EZ rod makes it all work.
