Hit the river again today.  Fished 6 hours and got 6 eyes, 3 smallies, and 2 cats on the 6wt....one real nice bass.  I think it was cold's clouser, the one that was white with some black and yellow and pink flash?  something like that, but the walleye were hamrin that thing.  Caught an 18 1/2" and 16" on that.  Lost about 1 fly per fish by the time the day was done, the fish were on the bottom today, lost a lot in the rocks.  Need to tie up some more of whatever clouser that was.

Mine was tied on a large-ish (#1 I think) saltwater hook. White/pink glow in the dark flashabou/orange/black body, and a white epoxied head. Sally hansens actually, but its similar.

yep that was the one.  I tried stuff with silimar colors and they werent working as well on eyes, only thing i can think of is that they were keying in on that pink.

If they were deep, the glow might have also been a factor.

Glad the fly worked for you, though!

there's a few heavy crawfish in the swap.  if those that created those would care to share a tutorial i'd be greatly indebted.

The ones with the eyes & orange rabbit strip claws are mine. I will eventually do a tutorial, but you should be able to get pretty close to a match just by using it as a visual reference. Gonna be pretty busy for the next few weeks filling a box or two with "1wt-approved" flies like tiny unweighted wets & streamers. That bunny craw fits none of those descriptions.

yup, that's one of them i am refering to.  i tried something similar and used some scrap foam from my gurglers to make claws...  sort of.

I didnt realize it was glow in the dark, just ordered some in that pink color.  It was working yesterday, at least worth trying some out.
