One thing for sure...

If you haven't filled your buck tag yet, you need to be out in the afternoons on the sunny hillsides (particularly fields with good grass). I have seen more giants (140+) in the last three days than I have seen in the last two years combined. Every one has been in the same type of place within the same time frame. I have begun to make notes for next year... I may have a couple picked out if I can get permission.

Got that right Griffon.  Have seen copious amounts of deer in the past week with the cold temps and snow cover.  Soth facing slopes with browse and or fields have been loaded.  My experience has been sleep in and hit it from 11:00 on.

I have seen some good deer recently that I have not seen in awhile.

I don't know about 140's but did a lot of riding around this afternoon from 3:30 till 5:30 and saw a beaut of and 8 pt'er,about 18 inch spread,6 inch brows,8 or 9 inch g2's chasing a young doe in a small wood plot next to the road, watch him for over 20 min,it was and old stumping ground of mine, but it's posted now,and has two huge 300,000-400,000 dollar home's on it.I'm still going to try to get permission.Saw 19 deer on my ride, they where moving good tonight

After two days of solid gail-force winds, deer movement is ridiculous!

The mornings have been no slouch for us either the last couple of days...if you can brave the blistering cold!
