Fall Spey

I put a big dent in knocking out my marabou pattern so now I have time to play. I love fishing orange and wanted a pattern that fishes orange but also represents fall colors.

I didnt rib the rear fly because I had something else in mind but switched gears and came up with this. The next batch will have the rib all the way through.

AJ 2051 sz 3 for the hook
silver tinsel tip
orange floss tag
golden pheasant crest for a tail
org dubbing with a silver rib for body
org schlappen for body hackle.
dyed black ringneck collar
golden pheasant for the wing, tented

Here is a shot of the wing

Here is a tri colored strip wing. Still using the same general theme. I just used turkey for the wing. I know the head is to big and messy but it'll fish.

My floss work was 4 **** though. Since I have the attention span of a watermelon I got off the fall theme and went for a winter pattern. Its a mix of gold, claret, black and purple. I think I should have used black for the head but oh well.

You know this will turn a fish.

I was putting her to sleep on another fine book and thought it would make a cool photo.

    Nice ties Swinger.
