Couldn't resist

Went and bought a new Excaliber Equinox. Went to Cabelas for a new red dot scope for the horton crossbow and ended up just buying a new bow. This thing seems to be pretty amazing, very accurate, and simple. Any input on them?

My neighbor has an excalibur crossbow.  It is fast and accurate.

The only thing is with these recurve cross bows is the width.  look at the width of the bow before you draw it back and then after.  it is really easy to put the limb to close to a tree or limb and not realize its gonna smack you in the face when it goes off and hits.

other than that they shoot great

I already have a Parker Cyclone but recently picked up a Excalibur Vortex.  They are excellent bows, probably the best quality made.

Compared to my Cyclone, the Excalibur balances nicer and is a breeze to maintain.  But, it is much louder even with the STS system that I got for it.  Also, the width will take me some time to get used to.  I am being extremely careful of where those limbs are and will be at a shot.

    Good luck.

I did notice the noise on the excalibur compared to the ten point my brother shoots.

One thing nice about a xbow you don't have to do much practicing. Prior to getting the xbow I would shoot about a thousand arrows a month year round just to keep the arms and eyes in shape and coordinated. Now I might shoot three arrows from 4 different distances and be done.
