How big is too big?
I ordered some west coast steelhead and salmon flies to use as patterns for my tying. Some of these flies are really big. 5"-6" in length. My biggest flies that I swing are up around 4" but 3" is about the average. Anybody have any success with the bigger sized stuff? Not just talking for the Erie tribs, but for other bigger Great Lakes tributaries. Thanks!

Yes, large flies are great for bigger water, dark water, and hot fish.
My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.
