If you could only choose 3 types of flies to use for salmon, what would they be?

ah the old pulaski rockets, i kinda miss watching guys catch those in their arms legs, other peoples arms and legs, i even seen one guy catch one in the forehead. but we don't get salmon runs like we did back then.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

you'd be surprised...  just take an egg hook, size 4-8, make sure the eye is turned up and do a snell knot.  then take glo bug yarn of your color preference (i usually carry assorted colors), and pull off a wad of it.  i then wad it up and pull it through the snell loop and pinch it on the hook by pulling the line tight.  before i'm done, a pull some towards the back which gives it a little chaser tail.  in the end once in the water, it looks like a wad of fresh spawn with some goo trailing behind it.  it works great for me, and beats tying an arsenal for salmon.  steelies and browns hammer them as well, even when i'm using 10 lb. test for salmon.  it's quick and easy and has proven itself for me.  saves a lot of time as well, especially when there are a lot of fish...other wise though...
