Edible Cats in Erie

Does anyone know if there are edible cats near Erie, PA?  Where is the best spot to catch them and baits and time of day?

I always thought nightime was the best time with a cat-rig and a hot-dog - but I'm not sure where to go or when.

Any tips would be great!

thanks

I would think any cat out of Erie is edible, but don't quote me on it.

Try the Coast guard Pier in Presque Isle.

DONT EAT CATFISH OUTTA ERIE!!! Trust me I've done it and the 11 days after were horrific along with my friend being sick for 4 days. They eat all that junk off the bottom of the bay especially around the **** plant. There fun to catch and are catchable day round at the piers but its hit or miss one day you won't get a thing the next you'll get a dozen big bruisers. I wouldn't risk it when theres better fish to be had. Go to a pond or small lake close-by and fill a bucket of healthy ones, most of the cats I get here are beat up. Try Eaton reservor north of the **** on the Pa side. You can fill a couple buckets of bullheads, no its not a spot burn theres tons of people that fish that area and are enough fish to fill it
