It pains me to see his name in faux Gaelic.

Enough politics, what weight/type line, and which reel should I bring? What weight does the steel need to be?

20 pound.  get the ones with the double lock snaps.  i used 6 inch-9 inch.  anymore than that and its a pain in the arse to cast.  i used 14 pound berkley.  i have an unopened spool, if u want.  use the abu garcia ambassador.  i'll see what model number the one i used is when i get home.

I was leaning toward the Garcia, too, just because it is lighter and will be better for bass fishing, but the baitrunner is so great to use for anchored baitfishing... Its a dilemma. Maybe I'll just bring both reels, but only 1 casting rod...

red nose, rest is white.  that's feathers on the back.  it was wet that's why it looks zonker-ish.  yes weedguard.  there were two eyes, now one.  you can take him along.

All white with a red streak on the belly is the way to go...

you can also take this fly to Minny, to not catch fish on flies, with, if you want.

Tied it for Maine pickerel/pike, it never saw water.
