AWOL Game Camera

Went to check one of my remote cameras today and found the area had been logged last week.
They cut down the tree the camera was mounted to...
If I'm lucky one of those shifty **** loggers has it at home and if he is smart enough to open it up, my phone number is inside..
I'll have to contact the farmer and see if they said anything to him.
Of course it had to be the most expensive one I have..

That really sucks bings. At least you know the farmer whos land it was & therefore can get in touch with them shifty **** loggers. But I have a sneaky suspicion 'they never saw it.'

    Hope you get it back.

I think you should start attaching them to the tree with a 8" railroad spike.  Loggers always appreciate it when you give them a target for thier saw blades.......

hey musky, i have 6 moultrie 4.0..under 99.00bucks, they take great pictures, and if one dissappears, not that much lost..they now come with a 2gb. memory card, had 3 that flash quit working and found receipts, 1 year warrantee, and they sent me 3 new ones plus another memory card...had bears, rip them off tree, and picture of an elk messing with one, pulled the branches i used to camo cords, and camera was upside down on tree, bears hate them for some reason..ebay has them and sportsmans guide..

if you went and talked with the owner of logging, and explained what happened and the cutters are the ones that probable took it, might get it back, say you are going to psp..might work..depends on wheter they are an honest bunch or not. their comback will probable be never seen it.tell them you put it out night before they started cutting..who knows..

I'd be happy to get it back at all considering the circumstances! They could've just as easily not "found" the camera.

That sucks bings.  Most expensive too.  ****.  Hope you get it back.

About 15 years ago, we had a favorite spot sold and cleared.  We left the hang-on there on "the tree" on purpose hoping they wouldn't cut it down.  They did not.  In the meantime, the area is now highly posted (and infact trophy managed).   I hear the guy gives permission but none of us have pursued it.  Someday, maybe we'll get to hunt that tree again.  Super spot.

    Good luck.

Man this just keeps getting better...

The loggers wife calls me back last night and said she had talked to her husband about the camera...

Now this is her exact quote and you tell me what's up..

She said," I talked to my husband he told me where it is at. It is nearby and I can get it tonight.
When do you want it back?? I can take it to the farmers tomorrow or the next day if you would like."

I realize she has no fault in this so I was very polite and didn't chew on her **** the way her old mans gonna get when he returns from Alaska...

Why the camera is not in his house I have no clue unless this SOB set the camera and was planning on using it till he came back from Alaska..What a Tool....

    Got the cam back...
Had to disasseble it so I could glue the lens back in..
Looks like they cut the tree down then took the camera off...

what if the tree stand you hunt down/remove doesn't belong to the guilty party, then you are no better than the orginal perp
