Weather affecting the catfish???

Hi guys,

This has been a really busy summer for me and I haven't gotten to much fishing at all, let alone catfishing.  Has the cooler summer weather had much affect on the catfish bite out there?  I can definitley see the affect on other species this year.

thanks

I think so..usually by now i can pick some up from the pier in good numbers. Catching 459 sheephead (exagerating) and 2 cats in a day isn't cutting it. I just went today and only got a 17 inch and a 24 inch channel cat

been trying elk creek in the evening and night few fish but the ones we do catch are nice  chicken gizzards and crawlers are the best bait so far.We only fish the days where it rains and muddies the water, seems to be the only time catch the cats

been catching some decent one's lately between 14 lb and 23 lb in the ohio and big a. seems like cut carp has been working better than gill's or big chub's.

your "game fish" is my bait.....got flathead!!

Any more pictures from anyone?  I would love to see some pics of the big bruisers to help get me inspired to get out for them again. :)

My mom is doing great now! Her surgery was 110% successful and is starting chemo this week. Now that the worst part is over the doc gives her a 60-80% chance of living which is great! plus I've been able to get out on the water
