Enough people have seen this log and think it is some type of hazard.

Someone that actually wanted to do something might sacrifice an old white boat fender and tie it to the tree.
Kinzua has a few trees marked like this at the north end.
The trees there are not drifting though.

I'm no navigation expert, but if you can see the log from shore, cant you see it in a boat?

If only the hoodlums who spray paint buildings liked to tag logs in the lake.

And lastly, I think someone should put a fishusa.com sign on the log.

The best part about fishing with me is you never have that annoying fish smell on your hands afterwards.

It's not that close to shore anymore...You can't see it from shore, and it very hard to see on the lake because if it has any type of chop, it goes underwater and is not visible...Especially in low light conditions....

Glad to see your dog is okay, how did the wife fair? lol...j/k....Your really lucky you didn't punch a hole in the hull...Was it an aluminum or Glass boat?  I don't know what's going to happen when someone smacks that log, but I don't want to see the outcome...

i went there this evening since my mom is spending some time with old frineds and saw a jet skier that went out hit something and had to be escorted out by the coastguard. I walked over to the fishcomissioner near by and told him. By the way lost a big cat and caught one of the many brown trout in the creek. Lost the cat at the tip, alot of dead ones floating around

No but a nice brown trout, the brown trout program they are trying isn't going right. The trout aren't leaving the creeks, I'm happy I can do trout fishing all year long now

I'm sure, they have a new brown trout program because are lake is perfect for brown trout to live in. But they screwed up because they needed to stock them in the lake at the tip so they would come back but go out to the lake

If you go to the mouth of Godfrey Run in Fairview in Late September/Early October you can usually get some pretty good browns there. Not sure why just that creek, but they are big and there are a lot.

BS,

They couldn't be "leftover" stockies in Walnut they aren't stocked there. At least not by the PF&BC.

KMP,

The Browns under the "new program" WERE stocked in the lake. If they came from there, it because they swam up, not failed to swim out.

Oh. Fall is not the only time you can find Browns at the trib mouths. NOR is Gofrey the only place you'll find them. Keep in mind, the state record was caught on the 4th of July.
