log location at walnut

launched tonight in a heavy easterly blow. the log moved about 10 yards to the west.
Just a heads up. We ended up coming in due to approaching storm and increased winds.

also, the log sticks only a foot or so above the water and dissappears under the surface with each wave.

Seems it is a waste of keystrokes and a possible locked thread to say anything...If you can't see it your an idiot according to the other two threads! But in my opinion, being corteous to other boaters is a good thing since it is something out of the ordinary and hard to see especially in a rough sea....

well, it is not the normality for a 16" plus diameter TREE to be sticking out of the water in 40 feet of water....

I think the PFBC should stock MORE logs in the lake! People would then actually slow down and watch where the %^$ they're going!

Just a silly question but why doesn't one of the people with a bigger boat just put a line on it and drag it into shallow water, away from the creek outflow? I used to tow big logs with my little 9.9 and john boat so I know it can be done. Seems the Boat Comm. folks sure won't do anything.

Securetay, Securetay, Securetay: Submersed log approx. 30 feet in length located at North 42.000.,West 80.000 boaters please use caution. Approx. 1/2 mile north-Northeast of walnut access in 30 feet of water. pimp daddy out.

This is how this problem should be handled. Broadcast the location of the log or obstruction. That what you learn at school!
