The Goonch Catfish of India

Below are photos of the Goonch catfish of India. I saw a special on them on "River Monsters" on the Animal Planet network. They are rumored to get large enought to attack man and cattle when then get in the river. I've never seen Cats with teeth before, I sure wouldn't want to stick my hands in that mouth. The host Jeremy Wade(below) caught a 160lber on that show
You cat guys out there, what do you think ???

THEY WERE CATCHING THEM ON SOME KIND OF DEAD FISH. YOU CAN DO A SEARCH FOR "RIVER MONSTERS TV SHOW" AND YOU CAN WATCH SOME CLIPS FROM THAT SHOW.

Mean & ugly!!!  You'd need some tools & accessories to land that thing. "We need a bigger boat!" comes to mind. If they need those things to catch their meals, wonder what the heck they prey on?Surely those teeth are adapted for some reason??

man, i'd love to try catching one of those.  the head of that fish almost looks like a sturgeon.

when that guy from that show hooked up with that 160 pounder the fish started running downstream, to avoid losing the fish in the current the host of the show jumped in the river and swam donwstream with the fish still on his line.  somehow he didn't kill himself and still landed the fish.  i dont think i'd do all that just to catch a fish.
