awesome Mr. Jiggs, even trout have teeth that will smart you up pretty quick. Get a net (LOL)
eyes have never been a target fish for me except an occasional ice fishing trip, reason I could not offer any advice.
Keep at it and you'll be the walleye king here on fishusa !!!!

Mr. Jig you sure know how to tell a story and make me laugh. You reminded me of the first time I caught a pike. I caught it on a Rapala minnow with three sets of treble hooks. I used a very nice leatherman tool for pliers and I grabbed him like a bass on the bottom lip. Worked the pliers only to have the fish whip its entire body to get loose. I, very surprised, whipped my hand back and threw the leatherman in the river but not before cutting my hand nicely from a free hanging treble hook. Oh the memories. Talking about Walleye though, my sister caught her very first one the other day at the age of 29. Took her fishing and used the fish finder to locate the school before trolling in circles with a jig and worm. It was 15" on the dot and not that big so I am not sold on fishing for them from my boat yet, but I am sure as soon as won takes it deep for a fight and turns out to be over 20" or more, I will be sold.

LOL, Rajin I bet we aren't the only two with teeth scars either! Gratz to your sister! way to go!
Throwing your leatherman tool over board, that is funny, same as when I was 20 and huntin in the south I had a 357 mag pistol 7" barrel I carried in a western style holster when hunting cause of the thickets in down there. Thought I was the sh_t with that gun.....till a covey of quail flew out from under my feet one cold deadly quiet morning and startled, In a flash I drew my pistol quick draw and .....threw it about 40 feet out in front of me! after makeing sure no one was around i quietly walked over and picked it up only to hear a man who was sitting high in a tree stand above say" nice move quick draw mc graw and laugh his****off" never did know who he was. LOL

Mr jigs, we rarely go for walleye but this Oneida trip went perfect, we had the best drifts ..best action was on the jigs and worms heres me and the three others catch our limit one day. other days we caught fewer fish but, all days were excellent boat days. most were well over the size limit

that be a 3/8 perch marabou hair jig mr jigs.. but although it dragged very well,, my friend had me two to one using black maras with silver tensil and esp. purple with red tensil.. surprisingly, shiners didn't get any off a slip dob.. not buying shiners no more..( i washed my minnow bucket good both before leaving and again before the next bait shop to help avoid transporting invasive zebra mussels that infests that gorgeous body of water.  One friend the first day caught a 10+ lb. channel and i forgot the camera! lol  we had a great week on south bay. gl on white pond.. i'm interested in walleye /crappie waters too.

Well after that insperational pic of a great catch by 79 I couldnt wait for the weekend so took out today as soon as the last rain drop fell this morning..."dont mind the rain, just dont like the lightning dancing over head though, lol" got on about 11:30 yea not the best of times but had like 2 or 3 hrs at best before the next thunderclouds rolled in and was surprized to catch two 12 inch eyes right off, deep and slow. released them. and managed 6 or 7 small bass also returned but kept the 4 or 5 gills and 4 crappies. the bigger crappies seem to be staying deep on isolated weed beds. made it a few miles down the road when the lightning started marching across the sky. woot!
