Youth Fishing Derby

There will be a free youth fishing derby during the Darlington Days weekend celebration on Saturday the 30th of May. The derby will be held at the old Darlington Lake, just outside of the town of Darlington,in Beaver County . There will be age catagories for both boys and girls (under 6, 7-9 & 10-12) Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish in each age/gender catagory and door prizes will be drawn as well.
Registration starts at 9am and the derby will run from 9:30-11am.
Bring your kids out, its alwys a fun time. This is the 1st year this event will be held at this lake, previously it was held at the pond on Grassy Lane Golf Course.

    Well, the derby had a pretty good turnout, probably about 50 kids. My daughter got the biggest of the day, a 19.25" carp that took 1st prize.
    Thanks to all of the sponsers that provided prizes and all of the volunteers that helped.
