Donegal Lake

Anybody been doing any fishing at donegal? Thinking about heading there this weekend and was wondering how the bite has been.

I've only been there one time to fish, didn't do to bad. I was just wondering what might be happening out there. Thanks for the info.

Went out today and boy what a nice day to be on the water. Fishing was a little slow, but did manage to catch a couple nice large mouths and also lost 2. Saw some people still catching trout from the banks. All in all a very nice day.

Fished Donegal this past Wednesday night.  The fishing was pretty good before sunset, caught a few trout, bass, and bluegill.  Once it got dark the fishing was really slow, I was targeting catfish and did not catch any.  All of the trout we caught were nice size though.

Haven't fished that lake for several years and was wondering if it still has the major weed problem? Can you still reasonably fish from shore?

The weeds are bad at the shallow end of the lake and on the other side across from the second launch, but from the second launch down to the dam and around the spillway you can do some fishing from the bank.
