I believe the guy that does my work charges about $14 / in.  I have not got a fish worth while yet but he does the best I have seen.

There is a lady named Karen who does taxidermy near Cochranton. She did my Dad's buck a few years ago and it was really good for a reasonable price. Also some of the fish in her shop looked good but I'm not sure about her rates. If you get off 79 north at the Geneva/Cochranton exit and make the first right she is on the road. Hope that helps!

Fisherman's Pride Taxidermy does great work and the shop is in Titusville.  I have had 7 fish and my bobcat is there at the moment.  His fish are exceptional.  If you want his info shoot me a pm.

I agree with jerm.. Karens does great work... my cousin from conneaut lake has gotten alot of stuff done there and all look great. If you'd want to travel a little bit I would reccomend Redfields Taxidermy in Fertigs to anybody... I've had a buck, bear, turkey and black squirrel done by him but no fish worth mounting. All of his fish look great though!

In venango co area, from what ive found, everyone is between $10-$14. I did get a price from one guy in the book who said he do them for $7 but warned me that he wasnt real good at doing them, So I passed. Thats not a good enough deal if its not gonna look good.

A thumbs down for Karen's from me.

Dad had a coyote mounted pouncing at a black squirrel and it took somewhere around 2 years to get it back and it just doesn't look right. The coyotes' front paws are very close together and one is in the exact same position as the other, making it look like a dog begging for a treat.

This was about 5? years ago, so things could be different now. There's obviously some guys here that were happy with their results from her. I just wanted to show the other side of the coin.

Be careful, you get what you pay for !
I have heard good thingd about HIGGINS though !
You could also consider a replica, some look fake, but others look really nice.

Can anyone recommend a good place for replicas ?
