Dog day largemouths with the kids.

Well.. the Smallies have officially settled into there summer/warm water habits. At least thats my excuse for not catching them this time of the year.   Most of the trout creeks, streams, and rivers are warm and low rendering them ethically unsafe for fishing.   So whats a Dad to do but take the young ones out for some big fish, small pond action.

Heres my youngest with her first fish and and the smile to prove it.




she was a trooper and touched the fish but this is as close as she came to holding it.



Next up was Tayler. She isn't a'skeert of any slimy fishes.




Then theres Justin, nice fish and some good camera work by Tayler as well.



The horse flys were killing us and we only stayed for about an hour but everyone including yours truly caught a fish or two. Justin won for first and most while Nicole took the prize for biggest and Tayler hands down stole the best helper award. They all got an ice cream for there individual prizes, but what I got out of the trip was much more rewarding.
