P.I. Bay Crappies

Anybody getting them yet? I know yesterday they put a hurtin on the crappies in Misery & I talked to a guy coming in just after 3pm today and him & his buddy did quite well. But so far, u got to have a boat to get'em. I've not done any good from the bank yet and there were quite a few boats in Long Pond but it was to get out of the wind today.

Dont now why the crappies are not quite with it this year like years past on Pi, we hit them one day pretty good around a month ago and have tried around a dozen times since with only 1 or 2 here and there. Normally we do real well, I live about 1 mile away so I check it often and have not heard of many good reports this year. Best report was from the day that it was around 65 out but I didnt get to fish. In an economy like this I just cant justify skipping work to go fishing. We need a few days with stable weather patterns.

Fished late Sunday afternoon in the middle of Misery Bay on Pi and only got 3 crappies,a few nice gills, and some LMB's very slow.
