looking to buy a used canoe

Hi all,
If anyone has a working, usable canoe that doesn't leak...
maybe its been sitting in your garage for months...behind the shed for years....
I might be interested in buying it.
I am looking for something functional, not fancy. I would be using it in a few lakes, and the yough river between connelsville and perryopolis. Let me know, Thanks!

    Lot of differences in canoes to consider - length, weight, material made of, etc. The newer Kevlar ones are nice, but pricey. ABS plastic are nice also. Auminum tend to be heavier and noisier. The older Coleman fiberglas ones don't hold up as well. A canoe with a keel may track better, but be less maneuverable than one without a keel. You'll want to consider this if you're using them on a lake versus a stream or river. Hope this helps and give you a little food for thought!

    I would ask what the best kayak/canoe is available on the market for what I intend to use it for,, I want a stable canoe kayak for fishing.. my ocean kayak  drifter sit on top has a wide beam and great for shallow riffs, I can use my waders as a sit on top ,get in and out should i need to drag it off a shoal.. for a single person canoe, I want lightweight and the most stable (wide beam) and those with bouyant floats attached to both sides of the gunnels aid for stability.  hope this helps

    thanks for the help guys, i found a mad river canoe for a good price, used. I can't wait to take it out!
