Kahle Lake

Does anyone have a report on ice fishing at Kahle Lake?  Looking for a spot to try for the first time. Not sure if we want ot travel to Wilhelm or stay close by.

Jake, I think you're nuts wandering around in two feet of snow at 10 degrees! Don't you get enough of that at work? IF, and I mean IF, we ever get any snowmelt and temps above the teens, maybe I'll see you out and about, but until then I'll hibernate!

I saw tracks on the ice off the rt 322 bridge on sunday afternoon. They were out from where the docks usually are.I've fished kahle the past 2 days ended up with close to 40 total for both days.About 1/2 were keepers, mostly gills and a couple perch and 1 crappie.

Three years ago I was camping at the Gaslight campground in Emlenton when 2 guys told me they were going to Kahle lake the following day to catch some bass to stock the campground pond. They left at noon and was back at 6pm with 10 keeper largemouth between 2 1/2 and 4 lbs. I was impressed.  It must be some bass lake.

It is a nice small lake, electric motors only.   Kinda hard to find, which is a good thing.

They kept the 10 largemouth bass?  There are much better fish to keep than bass.

Did the ice on Kahle survive the heat wave and rain?  Is it possible I might be able to fish there next week on the ice?   Thanks for any info.

Does anyone know what happened to the granite bench that was on the south launch at Kahle Lake.Do they remove it for the winter or did someone destroy it like everything else.I was at the lake today and noticed the bench is gone, also there are 3 pieces of what looks like part of the bench in the mud just off the dock.

I'm gonna fish more and work less.

Stopped by kahle today, still alot of ice covering the lake. It's pretty thin though, should be gone soon. The lake is coming back up to normal. We were by last week and they must've dug some of the junk out at the launch on the south side. They didn't haul it away though, just dumped it at the end of the lot near the woods.I'm anxious to see what the fishing will be like since they tried to get rid of the weed problem.

Where is the majority of the ice left at out at Kahle, stevepf. I was planning to go out in the morning with my jonboat. Looks like I might just head to the river.
