12/13/08 pics

I dont have but one fish to post but the morning was slow and brisk untill the sun came out and warmmed the air a bit. Once the sun came out the fish seemed to turn on. Had 6 hook ups but landed just 1 ,only fish pic to show but got some nice scenery pics. Only saw 3 peeps and they all walked on by me. Had a pod of about 10 to 12 fish there in front of me in a nice little run. Water had good flow and color but sure was cold. Didnt get a temp reading but i guess it was about 33 to 35 degrees.

Looks like you had a great day! Twice today I thought about how you were doing on the stream.  Looks like you did just fine and it looks like a great day to be out. Nice pics!

    deetz,
Great Pix!  And it sounds like a nice day.   So it looks like the NEXT Big Thing is fishing sub zero weather before 7 AM.    Wish I didn't live so far away.    Does carhart make waders?  LOL!

Now the next question to be asked is: who is going to invent the rod with the electrified guides so there won't be an icing problem?  I can see it now:  Microfilament wrapped guides, with ceramic coating, with two or three AA batteries in the grip.  Just have to be REAL careful that it didn't go in the water.  Or the batteries could be carried in a small waist pack and an extension cord, like for a cell phone could be plugged in. You could even have a rheostat to control the amount of heat needed.   What the heck am I thinking?  Time to hit the workshop.
