Edinboro Lake

I'm looking for some general info on Edinboro Lake. I've never fished it before. I plan on fishing from shore mostly targetting bluegill or any other panfish. Thanks for any info.

Along the Rt. 99 on the East side of the lake is a good place to shore fish for crappie.

I just got back from spending a week at Edinboro fishing the lake and surrounding areas. Any spot is a good one. Since it is only 4 house's from the cottage I was staying at, the wall on Lakeside Dr. produced many pan fish when I passed time during the afternoon. I usually use twister tails for the crappie. But during steelhead I bought a micro jig to add to my box. The pan fish just wouldn't leave that #14 beadhead nymph alone. That tiny jig produced gills, crappie, perch and even a couple small bass. Fishing close to the shore it was fish after fish until I went back to the cottage. Thats the lure to tie on for the kids and you don't have to play with messy worms that get cleaned off the hook. I was using a small weighted bobber so it could be casted without loosening the line on the spool and causing problems.
