Access To Genny Meeting w/City and RG&E

Just and FYI....
 
RG&E has a large Capital project at the Pumping Station at the lower falls of the Genny starting in 2007, and running to possibly 2009,
 
They will have a lot of equipment on the road to the lower falls, and at times will have to limit or refuse access down the road to the pump house and lower area's. Generally below the Seth Green path.
 
LOSA and the Kayak Operation run by Art Millers are getting a meeting scheduled with officials from RG&E, and several City of Rochester officials and Councilmen to see if there is some workable work arounds for access so there won't be any limitations.
 
Meeting is being setup, no date yet, but I will catch everybody up on the results.
 
We are takling with the city to entertain building a safe path down river below the road but above the river edge.

Hey elephanthead....the latest from the City is they are trying to put together a meeting for the first week of July.....haven't gotten a confirmation yet...head from them yesterday (The Admin trying to schedule the meeting) They have my free time as well as Art's whose representing the Kayak group.....so hopefully we'll get this scheduled for the week after next.
 
I will for sure keep everybody posted....and hopefully this will work it's way into some sort of public gathering...for anglers, kayakers, hikers, bird watchers...the City and RG&E
