water temp device?

Anyone know of or have something to drop down in the water to check temp at varying levels in the lake. I know I heard of people talking about them. I guess I am asking whats out there on the market? Thanks

I think he's talking about inline temp/speed indicators used on riggers. Cannon makes one called a Speen-N-Temp and Sub-Troll has their 900 series that alot of guys swear by.

Can't be certain, but I think he is thinking of something like a digital thermometer that will provide a readout to the angler at the surface while the probe remains at the depth being measured.

KJH807 - My thoughts exactly.  I have always just bought a thermometer put it on string then let it sit for 5 minutes.  The other things sound useful though.

I'd put a treble on the end of that thermometer.  You know...just in case...
