Egg question

Do you have to cure eggs or can you just freeze them? Say you freeze them in small containers, enough to fish with in a day, then take them and use them as they thaw? Or will they be mush by then? Was wondering cause we are goin' for salmon soon and it would be nice to get some eggs for the season.

I have done this before and used them like a month later and they were fine. Now like 5 to 6 months I don't know. But they should last for a couple months...

a cured egg will stay on your hook longer if your using single eggs. If your going to use sacks then freezing them would be fine.

want really good skein? Go get a board, lay down a layer of borax, spread eggs, lightly cover with borax and let dry slowly. Then if you want to add color go visit a bait shop and get some colored cure which also has a fish attractent scent. You will be good for a very long time, and you can make your own egg sacks to.
