I am handicapped and want to fish

Hello All,
As I said I recently had major surgery and am confined to a wheel chair for a few months but I still want to fish. Can someone please suggest a spot on ELk Creek tat this is possible other than at the boat launch. I have tried there but could not fish as it was too crouded.

Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you're talking about steelhead fishing.....

The wall at the mouth of Walnut Creek is a good choice right now. Also, toward late October you can catch a few off the north and south piers in the bay or the east and west piers at the mouth of Marina Lake on the penninsula!

Try the wall at 12 mile creek when they come in more.  You'll be right on top of them.  It could be hit or miss their though.

The sad part is you will have to deal with a crowd it seems wherever you fish.

The wall, definitely.  Once the walnut marina closes, not a bad option either.

Last weekend I talked to a young man that his buddies took to elk creek access. His buddies found a spot in between the rocks and lifted him out of his chair and took him down close to the creek. By the way he was catching chrome.

What happend? If your in a wheel chair, a 20lb steel might hurt your back if that is the issue, they hurt mine and my backs all good  I Hope you have a perfect recovery. The salmon river , may be a ride for ya, but there is alot of access and you could cover alot of river in a wheelchair.

THE BEST CHOICE FOR YOU IS THE WALL. Have watched a few handy cap with arms and legs missing fish the wall and caught fish with many nice people helping them. Good choice and if I was closer I,ld help ya. Good luck. John
