Same story for me. Caught 4 lost 2 out of North East.  90' down in 114-120fow.  They only seemed to want spoons today.  Nada on meat.

Walleyes have been good to great from Conn. West. Did 24 W of Conneuat last Fri. PM 3:30 - 7:40. We were inside - 3- 3.5 line and 40 - 45 ish West. Heard good things this weekend a little farther E and N. Seems you can't go wrong W of Conneuat right now. Reports from anywhere E of there have been generally spotty and slower.

Thanks guys, next year I am definately going to purchase an Ohio lic. I have never gone out of Ohio before so I guess I'll have to take a bike ride on one of these beautiful autumn days to check out the ramps. Any favorites ?  I'm still making phone calls to get a crew together for wed (got the nod to take a vac day). Only have a couple more weeks before I tuck her in for the winter  Be safe and successful on the water and in the woods!

Next year, PA may be hotter like it was last year.  One of the reasons why I like to get both licenses, you never know.  I also like to fish Port Clinton in the early spring.

Little food for thought...if PA is hot, Ohio is on fire...The main migration comes eastward then goes westward in the fall, which means they see the good numbers of migrating fish before PA.....PA gets the ones that manage to run the gauntlet through the entire state of Ohio.....The depths off Geneva, Ashtabula, Conneaut, all hold fish at the same time the deeper waters of PA does

You couldnt pay me to launch at Walnut this time of year...the crowds and steelheaders on the wall are enough to make me go to Ohio with a boat...let alone the poor fishing...

The past 3 years out of Ashtabula and Conneaut have been exceptional.

I too like the Port Clinton area, but I have grown very fond of the safe harbors of Ashtabula and Conneaut this year im pretty much to the point where my next boat will not be on trailer and will be docked at one of these 2 places...

Oh, I will definately purchase both Pa. and Oh. lic. I truly Envy you guys that get to fish a lot. I could live on the water but wifey doesnt quite share the same passion for it as I. Thank Goodness she lets me take the kids though ! When theres no Little League, Softball, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Marching Band and Wrestling !!!  LOL

Went out of shades on sat. got 12 in 12 hrs. morning was rough from daylight till noon and only got 3 . then about 2 it lad down to a chop and they started to hit That was in 48 ft. 3.5 back 107 only one on inside poles at 60 back. They were smaller fish but good eating size. I wont get out this weekend so let me how you do if you do go out of shades. Firetiger seemed to do the best.

In the imortal words of Willie, I'm finally "On the road again"! Got the new motor installed this past weekend so we'll be hitting the water this weekend, with a little luck on Friday as well. Too late in the season to do the Ohio liscense, I've had them the last couple of years but got a slow start and then had the engine problems and I never used it last year because the fishing was good out of the nut. The wall fishers do make it interesting sometimes, last year we had 3 boats over 23' getting off a rough lake and had to float in the channel while they landed a steelhead right at the harbor entrance. At least the rest had their lines pulled for us.
Are the perch still hitting near Walnut and are there any eyes there? I'm sure there will be some steelhead around and don't get me wrong, I enjoy catching a steelhead or two but that's really enough, just haven't found a way that I like to eat them.
