Northmoreland Park Lake

Anyone fish this lake lately?  Where's the best spot to fish it?  I remember fishing it on the park side and got a big fat nada.

Also, what are the best baits for trout, crappie and cats there?

fished it a couple days ago for bass and did fairly well. nothing of any size but good numbers. didnt see anyone catching any trout. lik any other fish commission lake it has little to no structure at all. i prefer fishing the wooded side because it has a nice steep drop off along the bank and some downed trees.

Like it by the dam.  Stocking this Sat.  tournement on the 2nd of June.  $5 entry fee  7;00-2:00. fun time.  Power bait works well at this lake.  Yellow and white  Good luck

Thanks. On the wooded side, do you fish down near the dam side or towards the other side?  I'm taking my 5 yr old and really want her to catch a trout (or anything for that matter)

If you have any wind at all id try about 50 yards from the cove going towards the dam, now i hope you have a noodle rod cause i fish with a small wooden bobber with a 4ft. leader use waxworms or maggies, millwormsare also good, now throw out as far as you can, your drift should be going towards the dam, you should do allright.

Well my daughter will be sporting the Disney Princess rod/reel combo; but we'll try to get it out there as far as possible!

I have a new 7.5' noodle that i will be jigging for crappies with (until I dont catch any). Then it will be all trout fishing.

Any good off the bottom with a sinker there?
