cool events

A couple of cool things happened to us this week,no pun intended, First, a buddy had a hunter in his camp at Tidiute got a nice 8pt,that was in full velvet, then the guy that I gave the phone # of the deer trackers that use beagles called me to report that they did recover the big buck that he lost ..

Bow season .... let the fun begin

Ok almost here Saturday 30th for me , need a cool down which they say is coming not fast enough though .., couple pictures not sure if it is same buck , one smaller buck and some doe so we will see, don't get to excited first week or so ... good luck to all .... go gettem BTDT 👍..

x-bow hunting in the cold

I was talking to a guy at the range this afternoon & he told me about his x-bow's limbs shattering while he was cocking it,I don't know the brand but the company replaced it right away. I am wondering if that happens often in the extreme cold? I had that happen to me once with a wooden long-bow ..

Any one see any bucks chasing. I saw a lot of rubs but no scrapes or any bucks chasing yet here in Somerset County. Next week should be good. Will hunt it hard next week. Lots of bucks on camera but all are nocturnal...
