Salmon River Res. water levels

This question is for the locals around the SR. Is there enough water in the resevoir or are we going to see another year of skinny water? I've been watching the meter at Pineville and the water board site and can see that from the 28th thru the 30th the level hit around 1200. All this plus a few 750's on weekends (kayakers?). I know some good storms moved thru, living only 2 hrs away they show up on our local radar. I'm just hoping the power company isn't dumping too much for the thrill of a handfull of YAKERS!!!!!!!

Dude- it's almost over flowing. Full as full can be. That's what a local told me....

Thanks Salmo, if thats the case then I'll start restringing the rods. Just didn't want to see another nightmare like last year.

I hear ya. After that debacle last year I had pretty much sworn off the place. Seeing that kind of "sportsmanship" is not worth the drive. I did learn a couple out of the way places for steel from Gottum last year. Maybe I'll return.

There was allot of flossing happening.. the worst thing I saw was a kid with his father, and they were just chasing fish and lining them in the shallows. that kid got an education in unsportsmanlike conduct...

Not to mention that the little bastid chase a fish into the hole I was fishing.  I should have drowned the little.....  OK I'm alright now!

Yeah if I had a thousand bucks for everytime I saw ten or more "fishermen" surrounding a 30x30 pocket 2' deep with 5 coho's/kings getting ripped...........I'd own that stretch of water.

OK,  Where were the wardens during all this?  Or is snagging legal in NY?  Really, there isn't all that much of the Salmon River that is fishable and I'd think that if a warden even saw 20 guys around one hole he would at least watch them for a while.
I may be coming back up this year if conditions are as good as some say.  But after last year. . . . I didn't even bother.
The reason I ask where were the wardens is because I get checked almost every time I'm in NY.  Maybe I just LOOK guilty.

I hope that the rain keeps up and we can have some good flows. Yeah, last year was horrible, elbow to a**hole around any hole. I am looking forward to seeing it with a good flow. The only time I saw it was last year.
