tagged bass in PI bay?

I recently caught a bass in PI bay with a plastic tag in the corner of its mouth. There is no markings on it, as a matter of fact it looks like a plastic tag from a new piece of clothing. I was just wondering if anyone knows  why it was tagged or by whom.

Maybe it ate a little boy who just bought some swimming trunks from Baby Gap?

I heard that a local bass club tagged a couple fish for a tournament, not sure how true it is though!

That's a tag some anglers use to mark fish's length/weight to cull out fish during a tourney..

For my fishing reports, product reviews, stories, and other nonsense...
