Campground Info.

How about a good campground with electric hook-ups? Right around Erie, Pa.

Lampe Campground.  Nice place with electric hookups and they have a really nice bathhouse.  The guy that runs it is nice too (long as hes still there), I have actually spent time just chatting with him.  You can also rent a boat slip for a reasonable rate.  It's really nice to wake up and walk right to your waiting boat and be off in seconds.  For a fishing trip you can't beat it.

The only downside is that if you fish in the bay, you have to go through the channel to get there.  Thats normally no problem at all until get a stiff east wind.  If that happens you might even have to trailer around to dodge the waves.  Sorta rare though.

I'll be pulling the camper over there in a couple of weeks!

Never camped in the area before. I see Lake City on the map. Where is the campground? Do you have a phone number or website or anything? Directions. Thanks.

I hope the weather holds out. Going to start Friday afternoon and fish through the weekend. Doesn't look to be a great forcast at the moment.

Called ErieZ.... sounded like a real nice guy and rates are o.k. @ $25/night with water and electric.

Just wanted to pass on to others that they do not allow tents of any kind. Trailers only and you can also stay in the boat cabin if you have one.

    Thanks for the help.
