Fished Shenango yesterday for crappie.  Didn't catch many crappie but lots of stripers hit, mostly around 15 inches.

No thermometer but the water seemed warmer than the air. (cold and rainy)

Call 724 962 4384 for daily reports and lake temps. I was out yesterday and did pretty good on the crappies. Spoons weren't working so i used the old reliable jig that microspoons make. They sent me some samples so if you see me, stop me and i'll let you try them.

chauncy, we may have met on the lake yesterday.  Were you the guy that drove over to our boat when one of us was using an oar to move near the rt 846 bridge? (the guys boat has no trolling motor)  If it was, you were wanting to see if we had trouble.  We didn't but it was nice someone stopped to ask.  I was the guy in the front.

That was me. No way i'm riding by someone using an oar to move a boat that big without seeing if they need help. I've been towed back to the ramp before and my payment to the guy was to promise to help someone else if they needed it. I've kept that promise a few times already but i can never repay that guy for his help. I'll keep trying tho.

That's what it's all about, Chauncy.  Good on you for keeping an eye out for folks.

Haven't been out in a boat in a few years, but I've needed towed a time or two myself.
