I haven't fished up there for years from a boat but many, many years ago my brother in law and i went thru 50 large size minnies on walleyes with tipups before the sun came up. He went to get more minnies and once the sun got up we never had another hit from a walleye. I got to admit though none of the ones we caught were legal but it sure was fun.
That place in the old days was my favorite place to fish but it sure has changed as they all do. I think the first thing they need to do there is get the weeds to an opitimum percentage level and go from there. They could probably get the tower fixed for far less than the price of another new 4 wheel drive vehicle for the comission.
Anyone want to guess how much of the fish comission budget actually goes to improve the lake fishing situation? Other than a survey every couple of years what do they actually do to improve the fishing for a lake fisherman who prefers panfish at the non trout lakes?
