Best crappie fishing:: Night? or Day?

Daughters boyfriend asked me this question. I have had a great deal of success doing both but, the bigger ones I have caught during the day. The most crappie I ever caught was at night under a battery bobber with a minnie.

    I have found it depends on the lake and the time of year.

    I like night time with the crappie light.

    Better too far back, than too far forward.

    Ever try the crappie light at Pymie? I have never used one.

    Find early evening/night to be the most productive for me.

    I belive it depends on water color of the lake you are fishing and time of the year spring time with me has always been an daytime thing in dark water lakes (wilhelm) during summer when fishing from boat or shore night has been better ireguardless of lake water clarity
