Going Fishing

As I write this the SR is running 2380 CFS.
I'm heading up for the seminar. I gave up my spot fishing a while back due to the surgery, but am going to go and hang out since I paid.
After the seminar I may try to fish with my good arm.
Taking my stuff. Never know how lony I'll need to stay! LOL
Hope to see some of you there.

    They just jacked it up to 3600 cfs.
    I'm out. I don't feel safe fishing that level.
    They'll drop it back during the week. I'll go then. Butt Holes!

    TT- There is a LOSA (Lake Ont. Steelhead Association) event going on. Needed to be pre registered.

    Salmo,I thought I'd lost my mind about finding you at seminar,you did'nt go!!!The whole week of the 23rd was an absolute disaster!!In 5 days only fished 1 day!!!Hit records every day....frank

    Frank, I really wanted to go. When I saw 3600 I knew I was nowhere near experianced enough to fish it, let alone one armed. I know people can fish @ that level, but I'm not one of them.
    I looked on the USGS site archives and looked @ the highest level I've ever fished & it was 2400 cfs. @ pineville.
    I remember seeing a drift boat that got away half submerged in the river pinned tight to some drift wood by the current. I saw a few guides take off from the LFZ in thier boats to try & retrieve it, but don't know how they made out. The story I heard was they got out to stretch thier legs and the boat got away. I saw the lunch boxes and all floating down river. Next stop Lake Ont.!
    We'll need to hook up next fall. Until then we'll keep in touch!
