Good Places to Catch Bluegill

Quick question for everyone....

I have a buddy who really wants to get into flyfishing. Earlier in the year, I told him that we could go out and try our luck with the steel, but it never really worked out.  My question is where can I go and find small panfish / bass in decent numbers around the presque isle area. I assume that horeshoe pond is pretty heavily populated with them, but I was wondering if there is any other options....Thanks everyone

Just about anywhere along the Penninsula has good numbers of BlueGill. I went with my brother Saturday morning we got a dozen nice ones in about an hour before the storm blew in. The water is still a little cold but it will only get better.

Go to the union city reservoir and go back in the lagoons. I know you will catch some slabs. You have to walk down in beacause the road is closed but if you go walk down the road and as soon as you see the water off to the right head right down there and you will be at one of the lagoons. Good Luck.
